autumntoast

Clean Water Action will host its sixth annual Autumn Toast to a Healthy Environment charity auction and wine & chocolate tasting Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 at the Pine Barrens Golf Club. The event will begin at 1:00 pm and feature silent and live auctions along with wine & chocolate tastings, light fare, and live jazz music in the golf club’s Adirondack-style club house and beautiful outdoor patio.

Proceeds from the event benefit Clean Water Action New Jersey and its 501c3 charitable arm, Clean Water Fund. Together, Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are committed to working for clean, safe and affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, and creation of environmentally-safe jobs and businesses. Recent organizational projects include stopping a fracking gas pipeline from being built in the heart of the Pinelands – a national treasure and provider of clean drinking water to millions of New Jerseyans. www.cleanwateraction.org/nj

Developed with land, animal, and nature preservation in mind, the golf course is taking steps to reduce its environmental footprint, including implementation of green cleaning, water conservation and least toxic pest control options thereby reducing contamination of nearby water and streams.
