Wine, Music, Fun & More at the Valenzano Wine Festival

Over the weekend I was very fortunate to attend the Valenzano Wine Festival, Valenzano Winery‘s annual wine festival featuring local wineries, musicians, vendors and more!

I have been to many wine festivals in the past, but my first time to the Valenzano Wine Festival was special. I got to attend the event with some of my favorite women, and we have already decided that we want to go back next year.

Here are a few things that stood out to us:

1. The Wine

Although that seems obvious, it was great to be able to sample wines from different vineyards in the state. There was over 100 wines to try, and your admission ($15 – $20) got you access to all of them. We got to try wine from 9 wineries including Valenzano Winery, Coda Rosa Winery, DiBella Winery, Wagonhouse Winery, Monroeville Winery, Tomasello Winery, Southwind Vineyard, Bellview Winery and New Jersey’s newest vineyard, Villari Vineyards. I highly encourage visiting these vineyards, click my guide for NJ Vineyards and Wineries for more info.

2. Beer? Yes, there was a new brewery featured at the Valenzano Wine Festival, and they were there to support a good cause! Brotheron Brewing, had a beer garden that for an additional fee you got to try great local brew, and the money went to support Semper Fido which matches wounded veterans with homeless, rescue shelter dogs. Great beer, great cause!

3. The live music at the event was great! Live bands played on different stages throughout the day, playing fantastic cover songs that entertained the crowds. Perfect for drunk people dancing.

4. Coolers, chairs, and tables were permitted! YES! Sometimes you just want to bring in your own food, your favorite camping chair, and a table where you can situate yourself for the day. It felt like “day camping”. Some people really got into it and brought in hot food, pizza, trays of pretzels, etc.

5. The food! Didn’t think to bring in your own food? That’s fine. There was plenty of food trucks and food stands offering everything from pizza, seafood, ice cream, corn, tacos and more.

6. The vendors! Local artisans had everything from art work, soap, jewelry, gift items and more. Drink and shop? Yes please!

Overall, this family friendly wine festival was a lot of fun. It’s a great way to spend time with friends, family, date etc. I lost count how many bachelorette parties and birthdays we saw (our group was celebrating a birthday too).

Looking forward to next year!
