The Newly Redesigned Bonefish Grill in Pine Brook

I was recently invited to check out the new re-design of a Bonefish Grill in Pine Brook, NJ. If you haven’t been to a Bonefish Grill, you should check it out and/or read about my last visit to a different location.

Pine Brook is kind of a hike for me, so I took my two lovely cousins who live in the area with me to see the restaurant and get some food.

I don’t exactly know what the place looked like before, but the current look of the place is very classy, and has more of a lounge feel. Bare with me on pictures since they had some “mood lighting” and my camera was not cooperating.

The have this cool Fish on the wall:

And the bar has this really nice wine rack, which takes up pretty much an entire wall of the restaurant.

It’s definitely a nice place to grab a drink in addition to grabbing food. They even had a lot of people watching the Mets game in the bar area.

We went on a Tuesday night and they offer a really great deal called “Hooked on a Tuesday”. It’s a 3 course meal that starts at $14.90 (salad, entree, dessert). All three of us decided to take advantage of the promotion and got different things. You can also add on a Bang Bang shrimp for $6 with this deal, so we totally did that.

How I’ve gone my whole life without having this is beyond me. I know people rave about it, and now I know why. SO good.

With the 3 course meal they give you a pretty big salad, and you have a choice of Caesar or Garden Salad (I went with garden):

I decided to get an Ahi Tuna Steak which comes with a choice of side and seasonal vegetable(right now it’s butternut spaghetti squash). It was really good, and it was pretty healthy as well!

My one cousin got the lobster tail, which looked amazing. She decided to get mashed potatoes too, which I wish I did since you can never go wrong with mashed potatoes. I think $18 is a fair price for a lobster tail, a salad and a dessert as well.

And last but not least, my other cousin got the Ahi Tuna Bowl (premium sushi grade ahi tuna, sesame-seared rare, avocado, sweet chili sauce, jasmine rice + passion fruit salsa) which did not come with sides since there is a lot going on:

Personally, I thought all the food looked great and there was definitely no complaints.

We were slightly full for dessert, but since it came with the meal we decided to split one of each of the desserts they offer.

With this deal you can get a macadamia nut brownie, a classic cheesecake, or a Jamaican coconut pie.

My favorite was the brownie, which I pretty much ate myself. My cousin described the coconut pie as a “warm macaroon”.

I also want to add that our waiter was very attentive, gave us great recommendations and helped us out with a major water spillage. The customer service there was impeccable.

Overall, it was a great meal and a great time. We pretty much were the last people in the restaurant by the time we left, and when we arrived it was packed. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
