My October in New Jersey!

I love Fall! From apple picking, Halloween, Oktoberfests…October is all around one of my favorite months! To follow my adventures daily…follow on Instagram @newjerseyisntboring

October 1st – What better way to start the first day of Fall than apple picking! I enjoyed picking a few apples and hanging out at Giamarese Farm, a family owned farm that was established in 1930, in East Brunswick!

Always fun to discover something fun to do while you’re running Sunday errands!

October 2nd – I went out for Moscow Mules, Tacos, Chicken, and Chocolate Mousse and the newly reopened George and Martha’s in Morristown!

October 3rd – My pal Hollie aka FueledbyLolz and I went to a new diner together, Fast Break in Toms River, NJ. To read more about that, click HERE.

Afterwards (because October is National Donut Day) we stopped by OB-Co Donuts, also in Toms River.

I enjoyed a cannoli donut and a pumpkin donut. No regrets for eating two donuts in one sitting!

October 6th – A night of stress eating! Only in NJ can you find chicken parm calzones…

and mac and cheese pizza. Nom nom nom

October 7th – I attended the Maker’s Market at the William Center in Rutherford, NJ. Met lots of cool people and lots of cool vendors.Plus I had a great view of this emoji movie poster.

October 8th – I love an independent book store, and I love it more when I can visit there to shop AND enjoy a good friend’s baby shower. Short Stories in downtown Madison is an awesome spot.

October 10th – I got a sneak preview of the new Whole Foods in Metuchen, NJ.

I love their commitment to keeping a lot of their produce, dairy, meat, coffee etc as local as possible.

October 11th – Happy Wine Wednesday! I enjoyed wine that was DELIVERED to my house from Court Liquors, a local NJ wine and liquor shop. To read more about that, click HERE

October 13th – No Jason for me! On Friday the 13th I attended a tricky tray for Sammy’s Hope in Sayreville. Although I did not win anything…we raised a lot of money which is awesome!

October 14th – Girls night in! I enjoyed AMAZING garlic knot sandwiches at Dusal’s in Milltown. Yes, garlic knot sandwiches.

October 18th – I learned I lived 20 minutes from an ocean view park! I took a lovely stroll in beautiful weather at Old Bridge Waterfront Park, located in Laurence Harbor.

October 19th – I got to do something awesome…judge the Taste of Perth Amboy on board a boat!

Congrats to Don Manuel (who won audience choice) as well as all the other winners from the night!

October 20th – 22nd – I was in Atlantic City, baby! From dining…

to beach time…

to the famous boardwalk…

I had a great time! Plus the weather was amazing!

October 23rd – Sizzle, sizzle. I made “Brinner” with New Jersey’s Favorite food…

October 24th – I made my way to Westfield and visited the Salad House, which is located in the downtown area!

Finally something healthy in my stomach! I enjoyed their homemade soup as well as a salad which I designed myself.

Oh yeah, and other goodies too like eggplant fries.

October 26th – We had a very special guest! Meet Austin, one of the adorable adoptable pets from Sammy’s Hope in Sayreville. Did you know that October was National Adopt a Dog Month?

October 27th –Starting my morning with a Pumpkin Waffle at the Sage Diner in Mt Laurel. For more on that, click HERE for my review.

Then…

Happy 3 year Anniversary Forgotten Boardwalk! We spent the day celebrating with them, drinking their candy inspired beers, and enjoying all the fun costumes people wore!

October 28th – I vended at a different brewery! This time I was at River Horse Brewing Co in Ewing Twp, as part of “Crafts and Drafts” by Marketspace Vendor Events. We had a blast!!

Looking forward to November! This year is flying by…
