New Jersey Vineyards

New Jersey is home to a growing number of wineries and vineyards, with over 50 establishments spread across the state. The Garden State’s favorable climate and diverse soil types have enabled winemakers to produce a wide range of grape varieties, from classic European varietals to American hybrids and native species.

New Jersey Wineries

The state’s wineries are concentrated in three main regions: the Outer Coastal Plain, Central Delaware Valley, and Warren Hills. Each region has its unique characteristics and produces distinctive wines.

The Outer Coastal Plain Region, which includes Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, and Salem counties, is the largest and most established wine region in the state. This area benefits from a moderate maritime climate, sandy soils, and ocean breezes, creating an ideal environment for growing grapes. Some of the most popular grape varieties grown here include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot Noir.
