Rahway Taste of Spring
April 5, 5:30 pm – 9 pm

Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe, the Rahway City Council, and the City of Rahway’s Special Improvement District invite you to get your taste buds ready for their premier Restaurant Tasting Event, happening in Downtown Rahway—the Rahway Taste of Spring! Now in its 21st year, this event has been widely recognized as the largest tasting event of its kind in the NJ/NY Metro Area, typically with upwards of 40 eateries and bakeries, plus an additional 40 stations of national distributors of fine wine, boutique beers and aperitifs. With live music, good food, wines and beers from all over the world, Rahway’s Taste of Spring is the place to be this April. Tickets for the Friday, April 5th event are $40 per person and will sell out fast! Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite or through the Eventbrite QR code at Witty’s only!

Hoboken Mac & Cheese Festival
April 6, 1 pm – 5 pm

Join the Party With Purpose for a Mac & Cheese crawl you don’t want to miss! Downtown Metuchen Restaurant Week
April 6 – 12

Metuchen Restaurant Week is a culinary celebration that offers locals and visitors alike the opportunity to explore the diverse flavors of this vibrant New Jersey town. During this week-long event, participating restaurants showcase their creativity and skill with specially curated menus and prix-fixe options, highlighting the best of Metuchen’s dining scene. From cozy cafes to upscale eateries, Metuchen Restaurant Week invites diners to indulge in an array of delicious dishes, all while experiencing the warm hospitality and unique charm of this historic community.

Racin for Bacon 5k/10k
April 7, 10 am – 1 pm

Celebrate the Spring running season with a flat fast 5k or 10k featuring FREE BACON at the finish line! Participants can choose their distance, receive a finishers medal, and enjoy 2 freshly cooked pieces of bacon. The race welcomes all levels of runners and walkers (5k only for walkers), encouraging families and even dogs to join in the fun. For a registration fee of $35 for the 5k and $45 for the 10k (plus run sign-up fees), participants can get their sweat on, earn a Racin’ for Bacon Medal, and support St. Ann’s Classical Academy.

Annual Battle & Brews Bound Brook Historical Tour & Pub Crawl
April 13, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Join for a stroll around the Borough of Bound Brook! This FREE historic walking tour will give you interesting information about Bound Brook’s past and present. Along the way stops will be made at participating locations for food and drinks. Restaurant partners will give free samplings of food! A complimentary beer will be provided at the event venue stop. All other desired beverages are for purchase by attendees at each bar. Must be 21 to participate. Event will take place rain or shine.

The event is presented by the Borough of Bound Brook and the Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership. This program is made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey Historical Commission.

Annual Morristown Restaurant Week

Fur Baby Food and Music Fest
April 20, 12 pm – 7 pm

In collaboration with the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, the event aims to find forever homes for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Highlights include 15+ food vendors, live music by Grand Theft Audio NJ and Guy Smiley, face painting, a doggie agility course, a pet costume contest, and games for all ages. The event takes place from noon to 7p, and admission is $6 (5 and under are free). FASTPASS tickets are available in advance. Proceeds and alcohol sales directly benefit Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, making it a pawsome cause.

Whole Lotta Empanada, Food Truck & Music Festival
April 20, 11 am – 7 pm

The City of Garfield Recreation Department proudly presents the Whole Lotta Empanada Festival. Join the fun on April 20 at 20th Century Park in Garfield for 15 Empanada Vendors all vying for the EMPY! (People’s Choice Best Empanada) Plus 12 additional Gourmet Food Trucks, offering lobster rolls, seafood, Puerto Rican, Greek, Latin, Peruvian, chicken, burgers, sandwiches, garlic knot sliders, rice balls, dessert and more.

April 20, 2 pm – 8 pm

The Jersey City Night Market returns! Join in celebrating small businesses and the relaxed vibe of Chilltown. Indulge in delicious international bites, shop from local artists and artisans, and groove to the beats of our DJs. The event is free to enter, open to the public, and family and pet-friendly. Shad Festival

Now in its 41st year, The Shad Festival has evolved from a local art show into a nationally recognized award-winning event. Shad Fest features the area’s finest artists and crafters, great food, and family entertainment, but the two-day extravaganza also serves as a venue for local non-profit organizations to raise necessary operating funds.

Asbury Park Restaurant Tour

Hosted by the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce, this event features small “bites”, samplings and demos at restaurants, lounges, cafes, juice bars, and other uniquely Asbury Park locations. Foodies will be treated to some of the classic restaurant pioneers of Asbury Park, as well as recent newcomers to the Asbury Park culinary landscape.

The South Orange Downtown Food Stroll & Pub Crawl will return on Sunday, April 21st from 1-5pm to South Orange, NJ. Don’t miss your chance to taste the local flavor by purchasing a wristband. Participating restaurants will offer diners a variety of discounts, whether that be a small discount on a particular food item or a more robust pre-fixed price menu – encouraging the Southern New Jersey region to ‘get a taste’ of what Glassboro restaurants have to offer. Glassboro breweries and liquor stores are also partaking in Restaurant Week, with offerings of local craft beer and discounts on purchases.

The Original NJ Empanada Festival
April 27, 12 pm – 7 pm

The event features empanada trucks, live music, beer and wine, a bungee trampoline, bounce house, face painter, henna tattoo, sand art, and craft vendors. 3rd Annual Fiesta de Mayo Cantina Crawl
May 4, 12 pm – 5 pm

The 3rd Annual Highlands Fiesta de Mayo Cantina Crawl will take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 12:00-5:00 PM. The $40.00 fee includes a Margarita Contest where local restaurants compete for the title of Best Margarita in Highlands. Participants will sample 6oz. Margaritas and vote for their favorite, along with enjoying discounted food and drink specials at local eateries and pubs, and surprises at retail establishments. 38th Annual Lebanese Festival
June 7 – 9

It’s time for the 38th Annual Lebanese Festival! Better known as a Mahrajan, this Festival is a great outdoor gathering of families, friends and neighbors for authentic Middle Eastern food, music, dance and culture. Traditional Lebanese foods such as falafel, shawarma (gyro), hummus, spinach pies, tabouhli, stuffed grape leaves and much more will be featured. In addition, there will be a large assortment of Middle Eastern pastries to indulge in. For entertainment, there will be live music featuring a different singer each day. There will also be dancing and folkloric performances along with raffles, prizes, souvenirs and games of chance. Because of the abundance of Middle Eastern cuisine, live music, dancing, and games, the Lebanese Festival is recognized as one of the most outstanding annual events in the community. People from throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the Tri-State region regularly attend. Admission and parking are FREE and everyone is invited!

The Highlands Business Partnership, 13th Annual Taste of Highlands will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024. You won’t want to miss this spectacular event with five hours of scrumptious samplings and cocktails at over twenty great Highlands restaurants and establishments.
