Top Ten New Jersey Events for November 17th – 19th, 2017:

Cape May Holiday Preview Weekend – November 17th – 19th
Santa and his elves have decked out the Physick Estate with thousands of lights and holiday trimmings. Enjoy a wide variety of holiday tours and food and wine events to get you into the Christmas spirit. The Physick Estate becomes a Christmas wonderland during the holiday season. The free Carroll Gallery exhibit, An Old-Fashioned Christmas, brings back happy childhood memories, capturing the feeling of Christmas past with model trains, a Dept. 56 Dickens Village beneath the boughs of our giant Christmas tree, and much more (through Jan. 1, 2018). Visit the Estate on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7pm as Santa arrives to flip the switch for the festive Tree-Lighting Ceremony (sponsored by Sturdy Savings Bank). That evening, the Physick House will be open for free, self-guided tours from 6pm-8pm. Visitors are encouraged to share in the holiday spirit and bring a non-perishable food item for the Cape May Community Food Bank. For kids, there are Santa’s Trolley Rides and a chance to visit with old St. Nick himself. Grown-ups will enjoy holiday ghost tales during Ghosts of Christmas Past Trolley Rides and Holiday Lights Trolley Rides.

Depry Con – November 17th – 19th
DerpyCon is a small, fun convention of sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, and beyond… DerpyCon is held at the Hyatt Regency Morristown in Morristown, NJ. The weekend event will have panels, LARPs, concerts, video gaming, cosplay, vendors, dances, table-top gaming, AMVs, and more!

Jersey City Craft Brew Fest – November 18th
Harborside’s Waterfront Property will be hosting an eclectic local variety of superbly fermented beer and cider in all styles combining the best elements of a Beer Garden with the staggering array of choices found only at a Craft Beer Festival. Guests will enjoy unlimited craft beer samples for the entire evening paired with live entertainment, Food and Interactive Games.

Suds & Stogies at the Ship – November 18th
Enjoy samples of holiday craft beers and cider, courtesy of Kramer Beverage, on the fantail (tented rear deck), samples of cigars on the pier, a tour of the Battleship, live music and food concessions. Must be 21 or older to attend. Saturday, Nov. 18 from 1pm to 5pm.Tickets are $45 per adult. Designated driver tickets are also available.

36th Annual Fall Craft Fair – November 18th
Visit over 100 tables of juried artists and crafters featuring handcrafted items made using a variety of techniques and mediums. The craft fair will also be showcasing holiday décor items and unique everyday items to use year round in and around your home. Many crafters are willing to accept custom design orders to meet your individual gift and personal needs. Visit the bake sale area featuring a large selection of home baked goods, including the school’s famous homemade apple pies. Food concessions will be available all day providing homemade soups, chili, nachos, hot dogs, beverages and fresh baked desserts.

4th Annual Native American Indian Heritage Festival – November 18th
The Sand Hil Band of the Lenape and Cherokee Indians, the Paterson Museum, and the National Park Service invite you to experience the contemporary culture of the indigenous community of Paterson – the Lenape Indians. Come out to hear songs and storytelling, taste traditional foods, and see dancers. Learn about the history of this area through tours of the Paterson Museum and the Great Falls.

New Jersey Comic Expo – November 18th & 19th
New Jersey Comic Expo is an annual event held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center each fall. It’s a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators and creators of all types of pop culture. At New Jersey Comic Expo you can find exhibitors promoting and selling all types of related products, as well as entertaining and educational programs, guest signings and meet & greet sessions with celebrities.

Flemington Punk Rock Flea Market – November 19th
Founded in 2012, the Flemington Punk Rock Flea Market brings the strange and unusual to the Hunterdon area while striving to stack the shelves in the local food pantry.This unique vintage, collectible, and artisan event is offered three times a year in Flemington, NJ during the Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter season. For the first time ever, they will be hosting a 2 day indoor holiday charity event on November 18th & 19th 2017 at the Flemington Elk’s Lodge.

Harvest Celebration – November 19th
Parker Homestead-1665, Inc. will be holding a family fun Harvest Celebration to get your Thanksgiving festivities off to good start. Pumpkin decorating, temporary tattoos, Native American games will entertain the younger family members all afternoon long. There will be a speaker, Ashley Parker (no relation), at 2:00 in the horse barn who will be explaining her recent research into the land holdings of the Parkers as the boundaries changed over 300 years of Parker ownership. Tours of the house will allow all family members to see what life used to be like before the United States was a country.
