New Jersey Events for January 6th – 8th, 2017:

Bergen County Winter Wonderland – Jan 5-8
Walk into a Winter Wonderland at Van Saun Park’s festive winter celebration. Attractions include open-air ice skating, carousel rides, zoo entry, train rides and food trucks. Ticket provides access to all activities and skate rentals. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
Dates: January 5-8 & 12-15 at various times

Central Jersey Cat Fancier’s Cat Show – Jan 6 – 8
Central Jersey Cat Fanciers will be having its fifteenth Annual cat show at the Sheraton Parsippany (199 Smith Road) in Parsippany, New Jersey on January 8-10, 2016. Show hours will be 3:00 – 9:30 on Friday, 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday. 250 cats will be present and competing at this show. Judging will take place in 7 different rings each day. This will be an opportunity to see many different breeds of cats including Bengals, Sphynx, Maine Coons, Siamese, Oriental Shorthairs, Ragdolls, Munchkins, Persians, Toygers, Savannahs, Siberians, and many more breeds. There is also a special category for household pets and kittens, which need not be purebreds.

55th Annual Reenactment of the Colonel Hand March – Jan 7
Don’t miss the 55th Annual Reenactment of the Col. Hand March on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 10am. In addition to this reenactment, spectators will get a chance to hear Lawrence resident and author David Price give a 10 minute talk in the Lawrence Municipal Building about Irish-born officer, Col. Edward Hand.

Peale’s Company Muster – Jan 7
At the Old Barracks Museum, members of Charles Wilson Peale’s Company will delve into the world and mindset of revolutionary Philadelphians as they drill, demonstrate various 18th century trades, and discuss the radical political climate of the city in 1776-1777. Send Peale’s Company off with a hearty “Huzzah” as they begin their midnight march towards Princeton, arriving at Princeton Battlefield at the same time the original company arrived 240 years ago. Asbury Park Punk Rock Flea Market – Jan 7

Wayne NJ Toy Show – Jan 7
NJ’s longest running collectibles show with over 80 tables of collectibles you’ve been searching for from your childhood and modern toys that will rekindle your love of all things plastic. The show also hosts a dizzying array of movie memorabilia, hard to find films and comic books. Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel and DC Comics, G.I.Joe, Disney, Kaiju, Anime, MEGO, Funko Pop Vinyl… toys, action figures, statues, art toys, convention exclusives… make a wish, you’ll probably find it here!!

59th Annual Model Railroad Show – Jan 7 & 8
Behold the extensive collection of model trains featuring intermodal, mixed freight, coal and passenger trains at the 59th annual Model Railroad Show. Check out the special trains on display for children, including Thomas the Tank Engine and the Santa Claus Express.

Morris County Winter Farmer’s Market – Jan 8
The Foodshed Alliance Farmers’ Access Network is pleased to partner with the Morris School District and Sustainable Morristown to run this market, bringing healthy locally produced food to area residents!

Clifton NJ Comic Book Expo – Jan 8
Everything from CGC investment grade keys to 25 cent readers… supplies and some action figures as well.
Our notorious no minimum bid auction is at noon.

Family FUNday: Winter Games and Warm Cider – Jan 8
What’s better then enjoying family-friendly games in the museum and then warming up by the fire in the hearth with some warm cider? Games are from different time periods in the museum, including an 1800s style checker board and Monopoly from 1945. Snowman contest weather dependent! Admission is $10/family. Family membership gets in free!
