Bellview Winery Winter Wine Weekend – Jan 23 & 24

January is here and so is cabin fever! Shake off those mid-winter blues with Bellview Winery. Enjoy some wine, good food, music and maybe a bonfire to warm you up. On January 23rd and 24th they will be hosting their annual Winter Wine Weekend from noon till 5pm with some new wine releases, special platters just for the weekend, an acoustic guitarist playing tunes in the tasting room and a toasty bonfire to get rid of that winter chill! Additionally, for the first time Bellview’s 2013 vintages of Cabernet Franc and Merlot will be available for tasting and purchase. So if you’ve been looking out for their previously sold out Merlot and Cabernet Franc this is your first chance to get your hands on them! Admission to Winter Wine Weekend is free. Wine tasting is optional at $5 for 8 tastes and a souvenir glass to bring home. *Tasting is purchased same day. No need for advance reservation.

Haddonfield Winter Fest – Jan 23 & 24

Liven up your winter season with festive shopping, specials and seasonal fun during Downtown Haddonfield’s first-ever Winter Fest. Heating up Haddonfield’s fine shops and boutiques will be exciting specials and in-store events taking place throughout the beautiful Downtown business district. Shop for winter accessories and see what trends are in store for Spring 2016.

Winter Fest runs Saturday 11 am – 5 pm and Sunday noon – 4 pm. It will feature live entertainment from noon – 3 pm including DJ Frank Staff located at the gazebo in Kings Court and Haddy Lane, and an ice sculpting demonstration from 1 – 2:30 pm on Saturday in Kings Court. Other attractions include in-store hospitality offerings including sugar cookie decorating and a scrumptious hot chocolate bar. Roasted chestnuts will also be available at Marie’s Sandwich Bar. Heated trolley rides available on Saturday from noon – 3 pm, and festive horse-drawn carriage rides available on Sunday from noon – 3 pm.

South Jersey Craftsmen & Artists Show – Jan 23 & 24

 

This South Jersey Arts & Craft event will showcase handmade items with a winter and early spring themes. Everything from wood working to hand crafted snowmen. Free admission, parking free, free drawings every two hours. Over 70 vendor booth. Held indoors, heated facility.

Evenings at Craftsman Farms: The Twilight Tour – Jan 23, 30, Feb 13

Twilight Tour

This after-hours tour offers new and returning visitors a rare treat. The tour begins at twilight in the North Cottage before visiting Gustav Stickley’s Log House in the evening, when the amber light of the copper lanterns shines most beautifully. Part of The Stickley Museum’s Fresh Eyes Tour Series, created to provide insightful new ways to see and experience the Log House, the Twilight Tour explores the development of electricity in New Jersey, and the part it played in daily life at Craftsman Farms.Make it a date! Bring your significant other and you’re sure to see sparks fly during this electric evening. Then linger in the Museum Shop for light refreshments following the program.

Wassailing the Apple Trees – Jan 24

Raise a glass of hot cider with us from 1 – 4 pm as Terhune Orchards honors the trees that give us our wonderful apples. The ancient tradition of wassailing the apple tree to protect them from harm is a popular winter celebration at Terhune Orchards that you won’t want to miss!

Activities include singing, dancing and playing of primitive instruments, toasts of hot cider and placing gifts of cider-soaked bread in the tree branches while chanting the lively words of praise and New Year. Warm yourself next to our bonfire (marshmallow roasting included) or in our store. Farm wagon rides, weather permitting. Live music will be performed all afternoon in the farm market.
