The Most Instagrammed New Jersey Locations – New Jersey Isn’t Boring

Once the New Jersey Isn’t Boring account hit 50,000 organic likes on Instagram, I started thinking about what were the most Instagrammed New Jersey Locations that were popping up on my feed. Although this fluctuates from month to month, year to year, here is a list of the places where #njisntboring was used the most across the Garden State.

Top Ten Most Instagrammed New Jersey Locations (in no order):

1. Asbury Park: Most recently Asbury Park was voted the coolest small town in New Jersey, and it’s for a reason! I get countless of amazing photos from Asbury Park from the boardwalk…

to the murals…

to the beach at night!

It’s one of my favorite places to hang out in New Jersey, and clearly one of the most photogenic.

2. Barnegat Lighthouse: aka Old Barney is the most popular lighthouse photographed in New Jersey, in my opinion. The Historic Lighthouse and it’s surrounding park, which is located in Long Beach Island, is always a great destination to photograph. Whether it’s during the day…

at night…

Or in the WINTER, the Barnegat Lighthouse is always photogenic. Make sure you make it to the top to get an amazing view!

3. Lucy the Elephant: Ohhhh Lucy, I’m home! One of the best roadside attraction in New Jersey is Lucy the Elephant in Margate City.

Coming in at 6-feet high, this famous elephant listed on the National Park Registry of Historical Landmark. You can even tour Lucy from the inside out, where you’ll will learn about Lucy’s unique architecture and history.

4. The Hoboken Waterfront: Hoboken is a popular place in New Jersey, but the waterfront seems to be a popular place to visit and take photos.

Frank Sinatra’s hometown is beautiful day or night, and gives you amazing views of the NYC skyline.

5. The Red Mill, Clinton NJ: One of my favorite places in New Jersey is Clinton, NJ home to the popularly photographed Red Mill.

The Red Mill has been around since 1810 and is located along the south branch of the Raritan River.

The mill is now the main building of the Red Mill Museum Village, located at 56 Main Street. It’s at the heart of downtown Clinton, and if you’re walking through there is no doubt in my mind you’re going to snap a photo.

6. Sunrises and Sunsets at the Beach: One of the most “liked” photos on New Jersey Isn’t Boring is the beautiful photos that photographers capture at sunrise or sunset at the beach.

I mean…

And the sunsets are unreal! I love that drones can capture the beauty of the Jersey Shore.

And you can’t beat the sunset in Cape May.

Or the colors of Seaside Park.

You can’t take a bad photo at the beach!

7. The Delaware Water Gap: One of the best places to hike (and apparently photograph) is the Delaware Water Gap in Columbia, NJ.

The views are incredible! There’s really no bad place to take a photo:

Make sure to get up there and take some photos yourself!

8. Grounds for Sculpture: One of the best art museums in New Jersey (and the world) is Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. This is the best place to find larger than life sculptures that you can snap and pose with.

It’s so fun to discover the art work at this 42-acre sculpture park and museum. There’s a reason why it’s featured on my Instagram so often.

9. Liberty State Park: One of the best places to go for a walk/run in New Jersey, Liberty State Park is the place to go to visit Ellis Island, view the Statue of Liberty, or just hang out.

It’s so pretty there! And there’s so much to take in!

10. Paterson Great Falls National Park: The pride of Paterson, NJ is located at 72 McBride Avenue. The Great Falls of Paterson has been a prominent waterfall in New Jersey. The Great Falls are 77 feet high, and is one of the United States largest waterfalls. It is part of the Great Falls of Paterson-Garret Mountain National Natural Landmark, and has been designated as a National Historic Landmark District since 1976.

In any weather, this National State Park looks fabulous:

and if you catch a rainbow there? I mean…c’mon.

Keep up the good work New Jersey grammers! Make sure you tag your photos #NJisntBoring so I can see and repost!
