My May in New Jersey was a great month for new experiences. I got to attend the NJ Mega Meet, met a lot of dogs, tried A LOT of new ice cream, and got to celebrate my birthday! My May in New Jersey:

May 2nd – I hit the beach! I had a great afternoon in Asbury Park

Don’t you just love it when you can have the beach practically to yourself?

May 3rd – I had a delicious and awesome evening exploring Rutherford dining spots with Jersey Girls Food Tours. For more on the trip, click HERE

May 4th – May the 4th be with you!

May 6th – Free Comic Book Day! We hit up Zapp Comics in Manalapan, NJ

May 7th – Big Sunday Funday! I started the day with brunch at Winberies in Princeton. Nom nom nom

Then I traveled to Mount Holly, where my first stop was at Village Idiot Brewing Co.

Followed by another brewing trip to Spellbound Brewing Co.

…and new diner review alert: The Route 38 Diner

May 9th – I LOVE ice cream! So it’s nice to take a trip to Milltown Ice Cream in Milltown, NJ.

May 11th – Another ice cream trip to Magnifico’s in East Brunswick, NJ

May 12th – What an awesome day in Atlantic City for the NJ Meet Up!

We had a great time exploring the city, and discovering spots we might not have found on our own.

That included a delicious trip to Pancho’s in Ducktown:

May 13th – Gotta BYOB to a friend’s BBQ? I brought Jersey Cider Works’s new Ironbound Summer Cider. Drink local!

May 14th – Celebrated a Mother’s Day visiting my grandma!

May 15th – After all the eating and drinking I do, I needed a new work out. This is my First Day at Aspire Fitness in Colts Neck.

May 16th – Had a great outreach event with New Jersey Craft Beer at Spellbound Brewing.

May 17th – Back at Aspire Fitness, but this time I got to meet Hank!

May 19th – Big day in the LBI area! First stop: The Barnegat Diner. Read my review here

May 20th – On my way to New York I went to the Ridge Diner in Park Ridge for their award winning cheesecake. Review coming next month!

May 21st – Came back to NJ and stopped at the State Line Diner in Mahwah for breakfast

And then got to see the legendary Mel Brooks at the NJPAC in Newark. Perfect Sunday!

May 23rd – Another ice cream quest: Jersey Freeze in Freehold, NJ

May 24th – …and another ice cream trip! K’s Brain Freeze in Old Bridge rocked my socks. Read HERE for the full spotlight.

May 26th – Spent my morning volunteering at Sammy’s Hope in Sayreville. Fell in love with our new dog Otis. Adopt, don’t shop!

May 27th – I finally got to attend the annual Pork Roll Festival in Trenton, NJ. Scroll through for photos!
