Kelly Green Brewing Co in Pitman: Review
I love going to Uptown Pitman, especially since I have family who lives in town! Last time I was in the area Kelly Green Brewing Co was still in construction, so when I knew I’d be back in town I knew I’d have to stop by.
Opened in May 2016, co-owners Justin Fleming, Dave Domanski and Jeannette Fleming successfully opened the small nano-brewery and tasting room.They were the first brewery in Pitman, a historically dry town, as well as the first brewery in Gloucester County. I was there on a Friday night and the place was packed! Since they’ve been open they clearly have regulars at the bar.
Located on Broadway, Kelly Green Brewing Co it situated on a great street filled with restaurants and stores. There’s also another brewery two doors down, Human Village Brewing Co, so Pitman is becoming a craft brewery destination.
Beers I Tried When I Was There:
– Blond Melon: A Blond Ale
– PitWit: A Witbier
– Head Moves: IPA
– Hipster Fuel: Double IPA
The PitWit, which is my favorite of the four, is one of their signature beers, a Belgian wheat brewed with bitter orange peels and sweet coriander. I’m also a big fan of the names of their beers…including the Hipster Fuel which I knew I had to try.
Overall this is a great local brewery that has lots of great beer options for any craft beer enthusiast. You should be making Pitman a destination, and including Kelly Green Brewery on your must list when you visit this local brewery.
