The Jumboland Diner in Branchville: Review

It’s very rare that I find myself in Sussex County, so when I do make it that far North I know for a fact I’ll be stopping by a diner! For this trip to the area, I visited the Jumboland Diner located in Branchville.

The first thing that stands out about the diner is that there’s a drive thru! And they have an ice cream parlor! I already knew after pulling in the parking lot that this was going to be a great diner experience.

Jumboland Diner has been around since the 1950s, and considering it’s great location in Sussex County filled with hiking, boating, and other outdoor activities I’m sure they get a lot of hungry people.

Their menu was one of the most affordable menus I’ve ever seen! They have great homemade meals like soup, chili, and fried chicken. Their deals include the “Blue Plate Specials” which gives you a choice of 1 or two hamburgers or hot dogs, fries, and a milkshake for under $11. That’s a lot of food!

I decided to order crepes and was very surprised and pleased when it arrived! Rather than have crepes with filling, this was one big crepe (which I called a crepe burrito).

Extra bonuses on my meal; 1. it has real fruit inside and 2. there was CANNOLI filling on top. I mean…this may be one of the best diner meals I’ve ever had.

My husband opted for a turkey sandwich, which is simple and easy and all, but check out that bread! That’s real sub bread!

Although it’s almost 2 hours from my home, I would definitely make another trip to the Jumboland Diner. I was very pleasantly surprised with my overall visit and I highly recommend it!
