My July in New Jersey

National ice cream month, fireworks, the beach….July was packed full with awesomeness! Hopefully this list will inspire you to do more in August! To follow my adventures daily…follow on Instagram @newjerseyisntboring and snapchat NJISNTBORING

July 1st – Sometimes the most amazing things in New Jersey are so simple! A double rainbow after all the crazy rain. Beautiful!

July 2nd – I enjoy the fourth of July fireworks in Sayreville (this is my third year in a row). Always a great show!

July 3rd – Day 2 of fireworks! I enjoyed the show on the waterfront in South Amboy. Not only did we see that show, but where we sat we saw SIX other shows from across the water. Definitely going back next year!

Last night’s fireworks on the water! 🇺🇸 #njisntboring

July 9th – Hooray for diner Sunday! I traveled to the Broadway Diner in South Amboy for a delicious breakfast! Read all about it on my review HERE

For lunch we ate at one of the oldest and historic restaurants, The Cranbury Inn,  in New Jersey for a baby shower. Very cool experience!

July 11th – I love a good restaurant week! I traveled to Metuchen to Mariachi Mexican, a great authentic restaurant in the downtown area. Bonus? It was taco Tuesday!

Despite being full my husband and I shared Milky Way ice cream at What’s the Scoop, a homemade ice cream shop across the street. Worth it!

July 13th – All the ice cream and pizza contributed to me joining a new gym (mine unexpectedly closed). I am now a proud WOW member, which is proud of being “Jersey Strong”.

July 14th – I traveled to Lambertville and visited oWowCow, a hand made ice cream shop. For more on the trip, click HERE

July 15th – I continued my quest for the best pizza in my hometown. Did you see my post about it?

July 16th – Game of Thrones was back! My friends and I shared some Dragon Wine from Valenzano Winery in Shamong.

July 17th – I had an awesome time at LSC: After Dark in collaboration with Midnight Market JC. Lots of great food, cool science experiments, and…I ate a bug.

July 19th – I traveled down to Uptown Pitman, I town that I adore.

While I was there I got to meet the lovely owners of Alaura Candy and Kitchen, and I also got to try their amazing homemade ice cream. For more on that trip, click HERE

July 20th – I traveled down to Toms River to meet the fine folks at Rinn Duin Brewery. I can’t believe I had never been there before! For more on that trip, click HERE

July 21st – I had a lovely time in Morristown! First stop was South Street Creamery, where I had a lovely time meeting the owners and trying their delicious homemade ice cream. This lovely cafe has been open since 1999, and definitely is beloved by the community.

I love walking around downtown Morristown, it’s such a cute town! I made some new friends…

And after a while I decided to try ANOTHER ice cream place. This time it was Beenies, a new place that just opened this Summer. So good!

July 22nd – I was in the state, but visiting family in Gloucester County so nothing to blog about per se…but I did manage to capture this super scary storm we drove through on our way home on the turnpike. Yeesh.

When you go from a #heatwave to a #storm! ⛈ Crazy times on the #njturnpike. Glad I’m not driving… #njisntboring #nj #newjersey

July 25th – I went to see one of my favorite cover bands, The Nerds, perform at the Freehold Raceway Mall for their free Summer concert series. It was so much fun!

July 26th – I went to the beach!!

And it was Christmas? Yes, Christmas in July at Point Pleasant was a blast!

July 27th – I took Holly to the dog park at Heavenly Farms. She made so many new friends!
