My January in New Jersey

In case you noticed (or didn’t notice),  I didn’t do a wrap up on my December in New Jersey. Don’t get my wrong,  my December was awesome, but between being sick, injured, the holidays etc..it didn’t make a very exciting blog post. That said, here are all the cool things I did during a very cold January. Just because it’s Winter doesn’t mean you need to sit in the house!

January 1st – 6th – A few things happened. I celebrated New Years Day with friends, cuddled with dogs, went to the movies, and enjoyed the snow days! I know that’s not exciting…but it’s the truth!

January 7th – I went with friends to Grillstone in Old Bridge, NJ for our annual Secret Santa exchange. We enjoyed an all you can eat Sunday Brunch buffet (which I highly recommend).

January 10th – I headed to downtown Cranford for my friend Hollie to get together for another NJ diner review. This time we went to the Rustic Mill Diner. To read more about that, click HERE

We also stopped by A La Mode Creamery, a new ice cream spot in the downtown area. For more about that, click HERE

January 13th & 14th – I was at InstaYUM, an awesome foodie event hosted by Midnight Market. While I was there I got to teach two classes on using Instagram effectively, try awesome and creative food, and meet lots of awesome people.

January 16th – I traveled to the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City for a media preview of their LSC After Dark series, a 21+ event they do each month with a different theme. If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do on a weekday, definitely check them out.

January 19th – I made a visit to Nunzio’s Kitchen in Sayreville, NJ (one of my favorite pizza places). While I was there I had to try their new unicorn pizza. Definitely Instagram worthy!

January 20th – I traveled to Clinton, NJ for a short day trip.

I also visited by 199th diner, Chef and the Builder’s Family Diner located in the downtown area. To read more about that, click HERE

January 22nd – I traveled down to Redz Restaurant in Mount Laurel for a beer pairing diner with Kane Brewing Co. To read more about that, click HERE

January 24th – I spent a lovely afternoon at the beach in Pier Village. Fun fact: parking is free in the Winter! And it was so nice out that day that people actually were on the beach.

While I was there I also got to visit Le Club Avenue, for a lovely French lunch with a view!

January 27th – I did it! 200 diners! Read all about my 200th Diner, the Park Wood Diner in Maplewood, NJ.

January 28th – I sampled all kinds of awesome food from my local Whole Foods in preparation for the Superbowl! For more about that, click HERE

January 30th – I went to my 201st diner in New Jersey, the Bandwagon Diner in Toms River. You can read all about that in February.

February is the shortest month of the year but there’s plenty of things to do! Be sure to check out my EVENTS calendar for Winter Fun!
