The Four Seasons Diner in Toms River: Review

Another day, another diner…but if you LOVE NJ diners like myself and my friend Hollie (aka FueledbyLOLZ.com), you make it a mission to go to every diner in New Jersey. This time we met up at the Four Seasons Diner, located in Toms River, New Jersey.

Right off the back I could tell I was going to like this diner. Why? Because they had a brick oven to make pizza! While the majority of diners in the Garden State tend to be Greek, the Four Seasons diner is definitely Italian. In addition to pizza you can get calzones, pasta, meatballs, and more. They even had an Apple Crumb dessert pizza.

Their menu overall stands out compared to your typical diner. They have an admirable list of Gourmet Burgers ranging from Gyro Burger, to burgers served on garlic bread, and of course their “Hungryman’s Burger” which is two 1/2 lbs burgers with cheese, bacon, fried onions, and Russian dressing. You can also find your classic diner fare with deli sandwiches, gyros, steaks, hot sandwiches, and more.

Their breakfast menu was also very impressive. Since they have a brick oven, they have Brick Oven Breakfast Skillets, pancakes (which they claim to have the best), omelettes, and bennys. Like their burger, they also have a “Hungryman’s Burrito” filled with eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese.

From what I hear their pancakes are legendary, and Hollie decided to get their “Red Velvet” pancakes which is topped with a cream cheese sauce. FYI they also have “Cinnamon Bun” pancakes as well.

Since I was mesmerized by their pizza oven, I opted for a white pizza topped with broccoli and was served with a side salad (it was on their lunch menu). The pizza was a little smaller than I pictured, but it was perfect for one person.

Overall, I felt our visit to the Four Seasons Diner was a positive experience that stood out among the diners I’ve been to (over 150 and counting!). I would definitely recommend checking it out.
