A Wing and a Prayer aka Wingfest – Feb 28

Chicken Wing connoisseurs will gather in Hoboken to determine which local establishment can lay claim to the title, “Best Chicken Wings in Hoboken.” The Third Annual “A Wing and a Prayer” chicken wing cook-off, hosted by the St. Francis Helpers, will be held on Saturday, February 28, at the Hoboken Elks Lodge (1005 Washington St.). Tickets to “A Wing and a Prayer” are $40 per person and include all-you-can-eat wings, sides, beer and wine – and the ability to cast your vote for “Best Chicken Wings in Hoboken!” Various raffles will also be held.

Jazz in the Vineyards – Feb 28

Live music by The Geno White Trio – Geno White is a Cape May favorite who offers a whole other side to the harmonic workings of the blues. Some will call it Jazz-blues but it turns full circle into a lovely sensual and smooth instrumental music experience. Geno is a regular at the Cape May Jazz Festivals, he has toured nationally and has won two ASCAP awards for his Music from Inside the Lighthouse. Join us under the heated tents for a full day of Jazz, wine tastings,wine by the glass or bottle, heated sangria, vineyard tours, and local vendors. Our monthly events are always free admission and rain or shine.

Winter Warm Up & Family Expo – Feb 28

Free Pop Up style event coming to St Mary’s Parish Center Manahawkin featuring outdoor gaming garden, cinema style screenings of Landfall, demos and merchant marketplace for every one to enjoy from 10 am – 2 pm. Starting with outdoor gaming trailers and National Guard Call of Duty Virtual exhibit, winter warming seating areas, disc golf lessons and demos and Davids Generation Team serving up hot chocolate and treats. Inside Home Depot will have children workshops featuring birdhouses and other take home projects, local businesses will feature winter deals and spring previews at the Marketplace and Lighthouse International Film Society and Jetty will be screening their acclaimed film Landfall. Gourmet food specialties will be for sale . There is no charge for the public to attend or take part in any of the Winter Warm Up activities.
