Peter Max @ Ocean Galleries – July 3-5

Legendary artist Peter Max returns to Stone Harbor over the fourth of July weekend, bringing with him a never-before-seen collection of his greatest and most-revered imagery spanning four decades. The new exhibition speaks to the evolution and maturation of America’s most popular living artist, offering a journey through the career of a pop icon that has defined American art and began a new visual culture.

“Peter Max: A Tribute to America” will be on display Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 from 10AM to 10PM. Meet Peter Max at receptions from 7PM-10PM on Fri, July 3 and from 1PM-4PM on Sat, July 4.

One of the highlights of this year’s exhibition will be his latest series of paintings in honor of the Frank Sinatra Centennial Celebration. The exhibit also features his iconic and best-known pieces as well as numerous shore-themed paintings created specifically for the Ocean Galleries event.

Ironbound 4th of July Thank You America Festival – July 4-5

“Ironbound 4th of July Thank You America Festival”, a 2-day open air event for the whole family on Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th. Come spend the day and enjoy live music, carnival rides, games and activities, a traditional 4th of July BBQ and the incredible international food of the Ironbound. @ 44 Clover Street, Newark, NJ. On Saturday the 4th, a large fireworks display will take place on the Passaic River after 9:00 p.m. On Sunday the 5th, the parade leaves Newark Penn Station at 2:00 p.m. Herman Jose, the most successful comedian from Portugal, closes the event.
