Diner Round Up – Red Oak Diner in Hazlet
It’s the first diner review of 2015! Huzzah!
I got to check out the Red Oak Diner and Lounge in Hazlet the other day, which I found out is a very popular destination in that area. It’s a really cool place! They do movie night, sports night and even comedy nights. Who knew?
I was pretty hungry when I arrived so I started with a french onion soup. It was definitely the cheesiest french onion soup I’ve ever had. Super delicious!
For dinner I got a chicken caprese sandwich (tomato, red peppers, basil and mozzarella) which I’m currently eating the second half of while I type this. It’s a big sandwich! Their fries, which I heard in advance were really good, lived up to their reputation.
This diner is a really cool spot to go to. The fact that they hold events there is really neat too. They also have a liquor license so it’s a good place to grab a drink too. Definitely check it out if you can!
