Diner Round Up – Ocean Bay Diner in South Amboy

The Ocean Bay Diner is a diner located on Route 35 South on the Sayreville/South Amboy diner.

I probably would have never known this diner existed if I didn’t get lost one day and drove past it. I’m glad I did because it’s a 24 hour diner!

Because they’re near water they have a lot of seafood on their menu (even though it’s a little pricey). Although the seafood was tempting, I decided to get a chicken melt which I was happy to find out after ordering came with soap. I found that to be AWESOME because I was hungry. I decided on a chicken noodle soup…which was heavy on the noodle.

When my meal came I was surprised my chicken melt was not actually a sandwich but was chicken melted on pita bread. It was an interesting presentation. It was very good though. I just found it unusual.

I left very full but I could not resist a cookie to go. (Not pictured…I ate it before I thought to). All of their desserts looked good.
