Diner Round Up – Gus’s Diner in Manalapan
Before a good shopping trip, one must eat. I always prefer to eat at a diner! Gus’s diner on Route 33 in Manalapan was the perfect spot.
Gus’s diner is on the smaller side, and it gets very busy. I went on a Monday afternoon and luckily we got seated right away. (Good luck on a Sunday afternoon)
I have never been there before while they have lunch specials, and I was very pleased with their lunch special menu and pricing. I got a meal with an option of soup, salad or fruit cup for $9. Not too shabby.
I decided on a soup and got my favorite…matzoh ball soup. The matzoh ball was so round! Very impressed.
There were a lot of things to choose from but I ended up getting a chicken quesadilla which was very good and very filling. I recommend it!
I love this diner because the food is always great, it’s clean and they have a fantastic bakery. Get a cookie to go! I don’t get to go there as often as I’d like, but I always leave there happy!
