Diner Round Up – Candlewyck Diner in East Rutherford

photo 1(1)

If you’re in the East Rutherford area seeing an event at one of the stadiums, or any other reason, I suggest checking out the Candlewyck Diner! For starters, this diner has made a lot of “lists” for best diners in NJ. So you know it’s good!

When you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful showcase of their homemade desserts. They are seriously tempting, and they have their own personal counter.

The diner itself is very classy! You would never know it’s a diner, it presents itself like a classy restaurant. They even play MUZAK and their wait staff is dressed super spiffy.

The menu is HUGE! It look 4 people a while to decided what to get. Whatever you’re in the mood for…I’m sure they have it.

Their prices vary between very reasonable to very extreme. My “healthy omelette” which was egg whites, tomatoes, spinach and avoacado was under $10 and it came with sliced tomatoes and toast.

My friend got this amazing Nacho Burger which had chili, cheese, and nacho chips on top of the burger. Side salad though? Hmmm. This was also under $10.

Their breakfast, burgers, sandwiches and pizza(they have their own brick oven!!!) are all reasonably priced, like any other diner. However, if you have money to spare…they also have entrees from $15-$30.

If you’re looking for a “classic” NJ diner this might not be your bag…but if you’re looking for a good meal I highly recommend it!
