Brookside Diner in Whippany: Review

I’m making an effort to cross more Morris County diners off my list, so I visited the Brookside Diner and Restaurant on Route 10 in Whippany when I was in the area with friends. This family owned and operated diner has been around for over 30 years!

The interior of the diner was one of the nicest I’ve seen. They had painted murals on several of the walls, mosaic tiling, and the booths were all new and clean.

Their menu has typical diner fare like breakfast all day (so many omelette options!) which included a $17.99 rib eye and steak option, crepes (sweet and savory), lots of Greek options including a Mediterranean sampler, all the different variety of sandwiches (deli, croissants, melts, paninis, wraps etc), burgers, a whole line of items from their bakery, and much more. Additionally, this diner also offers Tex Mex, a list of “Athenian” specialties, Italian food, seafood, steaks and chops, and other entrees. There is definitely something for everyone!

They had a long list of specialty burgers, so I decided to get the “Baja Turkey Burger” which was a homemade turkey burger, avocado, Swiss cheese, and chipolte mayo. I was a little confused when my burger came completely deconstructed, but since I wasn’t a huge fan of the mayo I’m glad it wasn’t smothered all over my burger (it was perfect for dipping fries into though). It was a lot of food, I’m surprised I finished it all!

With lots to choose from in a nice atmosphere, this is a great diner to bring your friends and family to! Great service, great food, in a convenient location off of Route 10 in Whippany.
