Brewery Review: Village Idiot Brewing Co in Mount Holly
I recently got to check out Village Idiot Brewing Co in downtown Mount Holly, right on High St. It’s a really neat bar that you should definitely check out if you’re in town!
If you’re there to try their beer (why else would you be there?) the way the tastings work, is you buy “tokens” and the tokens can be applied to towards a tasting glass sized beer or a pint.

Beers I tried while I was there:
– Bridgeton Blonde; Golden Blonde Ale 4% ABV
– Oatmeal Chocolate Stout; 5.5% ABV
– Thong Removal Tripel; Belgian-style Tripel 9.5% ABV
The more and more breweries I go to, I feel like I’m drawn to those three kinds of beers. I prefer a Belgium-style beer, and the Thong Removal Tripel was my favorite of the three(of course it cost more tokens). All the beers were great, they definitely take pride and hard work into what they do. I wish I could have tried all the beers, but this was my second out of three brewery tours that day and I definitely had to take it easy. Luckily I saw a diner right around the corner so I’ll be back in the area soon! I’ll just need to remember to bring back my growler!
This is a great brewery in a great area. You can very easily spend the day walking around Mount Holly, grab lunch or dinner, and then grab drinks the brewery! Personally, I would rather grab a beer from the brewery directly. It’ a fun experience, and you can chat with the people who created the beer your drinking. It’s educational!
I am very quickly checking off visiting a lot of breweries all around New Jersey! Good thing I became a NJ Craft Beer Member!

Our brewery is a 1.5 BBL (46.5 gallons) artisanal, small-batch, neighborhood business brewing quality beer for good people who appreciate good beer. We offer samples, pints, and growler fills. Our unique tasting room is situated at the location of the former Bridgetown Pub, just a short drive from NJ Turnpike Exit 5 or the Mt. Holly exit off 295.
