Brewery Review: Kane Brewing Co in Ocean Twp
I’m very fortunate that I live fairly close to a few breweries. I had been wanting to check out Kane Brewing for a while, and decided to finally go!
The brewery is a lot bigger than it looks. When you walk in there’s a room to fill growlers and buy merchandise, and you think that’s it…but then there’s a whole warehouse/tasting room where there were lots of people were drinking and having a great time.
When we arrived, it was 10 min before the tour started we didn’t have time to really start drinking…but I decided to try to Parhelion ($3 for the 4 oz)while we waited and it was delicious. The Parhelion is a bourbon barrel-aged Imperial IPA, 9.4% ABV. Definitely had a kick!

Although the place was packed, no one else seemed to wanted to do the 1pm tour so my friends and I got a private tour which was pretty sweet! The tour is free if you’re in the brewery, so you might as well go!
After we finished the tour we got down to drinking and we tried a flight of the four beers they had on tap:
– Head High; American India Pale Ale (IPA)
– Overhead; American India Pale Ale (IPA)
– Single Fin; Belgian-style Blonde Ale
– Silent Nights; Imperial Stout
A flight is $6, and to try a 4 oz beer it’s $3 for the Silent Nights and $2 for the year round beers. I recommend being adventurous, a flight is definitely the most cost effective and you can try all the beers!
*FYI The Parhelion I mentioned before was not available for flights or growlers.
Speaking of growlers, we purchased a 64 oz growler so we’ll definitely be back visiting soon! It’s definitely a popular spot!
