Black Sheep Thrift Shop: Not Your Average Thrift Store
I’m a big thrift shopper, and the majority of the items that live in my house I found by rummaging through different thrift shops in New Jersey. When I bought my home, I was doing research on unique thrift shops and discovered the Black Sheep Thrift Shop in Brick.
Black Sheep Thrift shop is not your average thrift shop. They sell clothing, seasonal items, kitchen goods, records, toys, furniture and more. You can also find a lot of collectibles and antiques at reasonable prices.
What I liked most about them is that you’ll always find new items for sale. They offer a 60 day consignment period and take up to 30 items per consignor per day for consignment. When I visited we saw several people selling all kinds of items, so I know when I go back I will find completely new items. So if you like it…buy it because it won’t be there the next time you go! Owners Tom and Scott are very picky in choosing their items to assure quality to their customers.

Another favorite they’ve had at the store is a 1940’s Tail Gunner periscope:
…And of course, the Simpsons family will greet you when you walk in the door!
They also have some awesome autographed items including a Delorean signed by Michael J. Fox.
Something I really admired about Black Sheep Thrift Shop is the way they give back to the community. Items that don’t sell after 60 days which consignors don’t reclaim are donated to local charities. They donate items to The Visitation Relief Center, Destiny Thrift Store, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. They also make cash donations to animal rescue agencies, School Fund Drives, Children Cancer Research etc.
When you visit don’t expect your typical thrift shop. Black Sheep Thrift shop has more of a boutique vibe, and their items are very organized so that you can easily find what you’re looking for.
