Asbury Park Convention Hall to Host Soul Revue & Dance Party with Remember Jones for One Night Only

remember jones

Press Release:

The Remember Jones Soul Revue & Dance Party comes to Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ for a special one-night-only live event on Saturday, May 14th. Be there when “fiercely passionate frontman for the ages” Remember Jones leads a top tier collection of musicians in a 20 piece soul orchestra. Enjoying momentum from several sold-out area successes at both Asbury Lanes and House of Independents, this wildly successful break out act is ready to bring audiences a one-of-a-kind, over-the-top event you will not want to miss.

Convention Hall will be transformed into a sensational soul-centric venue celebrating the golden era of Soul Music from the early 1960’s to the early 1970’s. Concertgoers can expect to hear their favorite soul and Motown standards in an epic performance that aligns the best performers and artists of that time with brand new recreations and arrangements from Remember Jones and company.

The night will also celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated, debut original album Ladies and Gentlemen, Remember Jones!, on sale for the first time. Called a “soul sensation” and “New Jersey’s most ambitious song interpreter”, Remember Jones funded the album through generous crowd-sourced donations. The album is a live orchestra-backed recording, captured at the historic Strand Theater.

The album features writing contributions and performances from many local area musicians, many of who whom will also appear at the live show at Convention Hall. Spotlight guest performances of the night will include area favorites Arlan Feiles, Rick Barry, Bone & Marrow, The Shady Street Show Band, Mad Feather Group, Brielle Von Hugel, Nik Greeley, Emily Grove, Chris Rockwell, The Barefoot Strings, Cody McCorry, 4th Avenue Choir, and many more surprises.

Tickets are currently available via Eventbrite.com, $15 advance / $18 at the door, and doors will open at 8PM that evening.  Advance purchase is suggested. This show is presented with support from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties and Asbury Park Cyclery (opening this spring).
