Americana Diner in West Orange: My 175th Review
Wow, 175 diners! Where did the time go! It would make sense that I would make it to this milestone number with my friend and fellow diner enthusiast Hollie, aka blogger FueledbyLolZ. For this diner review we traveled to West Orange to visit the Americana Diner located in the downtown area.
Our choice of the Americana Diner rested on our decision to visit the Thomas Edison National Historic Park that day, located 4 minutes away. We both thought to ourselves, “Really? Another Americana Diner?”. It seems to be a popular name for a NJ Diner (this is my third).
When we got there we were pleasantly surprised. For starters, I was impressed that a downtown diner actually had a parking lot.
I also loved the interior of the diner. That diner counter gives off awesome nostalgia.
Now for the food…
The diner has a great mix of options from all the diner classics. They also have a lot of things I don’t think I’ve ever seen on a diner menu including “Flounder and Eggs” for “Bacon Bits Pancakes” for breakfast. Oh yeah, and you can get a side of a Mickey Mouse pancakes. That’s pretty cool…
Since I already had breakfast and we got there around 11am, I was searching the lunch and dinner options. That’s when their Homemade Ravioli caught my eye. Who orders ravioli at 11am in the morning? Apparently I do. The meal also came with a salad.
I will say I was (again) pleasantly surprised when my meal came out. It was a very big portion and it tasted amazing! I had to pat myself on the back for making a good decision.
Overall another pleasant New Jersey diner experience! I would recommend the Americana Diner. Plus it’s open 24 hours!
